Video editing on a laptop, is it feasible, and what should I ...
A couple of friends of mine have been doing some simple video editing on my Amiga recently. They are producing almost-semi-professional videos at the moment. I would think MINIMUM specs for video editing would be a PIV running at least 2.4Ghz with 1GB of more of RAM. (It's amazing how many problems go away with a ton of RAM.) You're also going to need large, FAST Hard disk drives, particularly w/ 30 minutes of video. I'd suspect those files will be 1GB or more (unless

The point of this thread is video editing. MY point is why not get a damn good video editing machine (graphics, video and sound as you say) that is ALSO more than capable of doing other things (rather than gathering dust as a single use box) and at LESS total cost. I would start with the trial of video studio, if you like it forget about pinnacle, as pinnacle is very hard to get rid of properly once installed.
